Dear Praying Friends,
As we enter this new year Marilyn and I are thoroughly enjoying ministering in Pickford, Michigan (U.P.) through January and February. The Nazarene church there is in pastoral transition and we are thoroughly enjoying our role in pastoral care and coaching during this interim. This is a great congregation that is taking seriously their responsibility in prayer and fasting to find the right Pastor.
I want to address an issue that I and other Evangelists have encountered. The more this comes to our attention, the more aware we are of the spiritual war that goes on behind the veil of flesh in the spiritual kingdom. On multiple occasions I have seen the same scenario unfold, God moves in a marvelous way during the “Revival” and within days, (sometimes, hours) trouble arises in the Body of Christ. It would be easy to draw the conclusion that we are better off to just not have revival services. Now think about that. I suppose, if we aren’t serious about spiritual victory in our churches then we can just give up! In reality, that is exactly what has happened. Instead of recognizing the schemes of the enemy, we capitulate and retreat from the battle line. God must be doing something good if Satan is fighting this hard.
Satan is a liar and the father of all lies. In the moment when the Church should be erupting in praise, we are distracted. Distracted by someone’s offence, someone’s diagnosis, or whatever Satan throws at us. In moments we are distracted and have our eyes fixed on the problems at hand rather than the victories won. Such negativity saps our joy. We are way too quick to live with an “under the circumstances” mindset. We must break the chains and break out in praise. I know at those times, I have to get loud. I vocally shout and sing praise; specifically rejoicing that God will work all things out for our good. We need to agree to get out from “under the circumstances” and get in tune with what God is doing.
Is it time to rethink our aversion to Revival Services and get back to the battle that we are guaranteed to win!
Thank you to all of you who faithfully and generously supported Dale Freed Ministry financially in 2018. Heaven will reveal the difference you have made. Your generosity underwrites the cost of staying on the road. Thank you as well to all who faithfully pray for God’s mighty anointing on this work. I assure you lives are being transformed through the mighty hand of God.
